What types of payment do you accept?
Cash, Cheque, Debit, Visa, Mastercard
What are class sizes?
Usually 4 to 8 children or 4 to 6 adults.
Why such a large age range for kids (6 to 12 years old)
The classes are smaller than many other places so each person can get lots of individual attention. I’ve found that students are very busy on their own work.
Are the clay and the glazes safe for children?
Yes. They are foodsafe.
What type(s) of clay do you offer?
You can choose red or white clay.
If doing sculpture, we use a grogged clay or a paper clay.
More information is on our Open Studio Time page.
How much does additional clay cost?
$ 3/lb – either red or white, includes glaze and firing.
What hand building techniques do you teach?
Coil, slab, pinching and the use of molds.
How is working with clay different from working with Fimo?
We use water and can build bigger projects. Also with clay you can create in many different ways including throwing on the wheel.
Can clay artists buy pottery supplies here? Clay, glazes, tools?
Some supplies are available. We order once a month so we can order for others at that time. We don’t have a lot of storage space so keep minimal supplies on hand. Contact Aline Beth for more details.
